I agree with many of the points recently made.

A win is a win, but context is everything.

It is SO much easier to prepare and implement the first scout of a weekend compared with the second scout.  Oregon had a gigantic advantage--not just with fresh legs--but with many more days to prepare to play us than we had to prepare to play them.

The more I think about it, I think our 2 losses can very much be linked to the incredibly adverse practice and preparation conditions before them.  Being on the road for 9 weeks is bad enough, but having a major reduction in practice time is particularly bad for a Vanderveer team that relies on intricate scouts, precise motion, and accurate shooting. 

We have won all but two games this year despite having the some of the most adverse conditions of any team in the nation.  Now that we are back at home again our practicing will go up and I expect we will begin to catch up with where Tara wants our team to be.  I think the future of this season is brighter than the games past since we are going to be able to prepare on an equal basis as our opponents from this point forward.  Our future opponents should be worried that we hit our low point long ago and will be consistently getting better from this point forward.  The performance of Kiana Williams is a clear indication of this.

So the sensible question is how the heck did we do it?  How did we win all of those games despite the wear and tear of travel and the lack of practice?  And the answer is quite simple:  we are actually and truly a more talented team than anyone we have faced.  Without that overwhelming talent we would have lost a lot more than 2 games.
