Wow, that last minute is a perfect microcosm for Stanford basketball under Jerod Haase.

It’s not Haase fault that Williams went through Duarte on a long three point shot and then released instead of coming back for a potential rebound. Long rebounds are common when someone misses a very long shot. Williams took himself out of position. 

Nor is it his fault that Oregon had 3 fouls to give on last possession.  (Can’t remember last time I saw a team with 3 team fouls with 11 seconds left in second half of a close game). 

They have had 3 key players out most of the Pac-12 session.  And played without their best player tonight.  Frankly I think they’ve performed fairly well under the circumstances.  And it’s not hard to figure why they’d struggle down the stretch of close games when the  3 guys you want handling the ball at crunch time are out.

Tried to watch but after 5 mins of Walton’s blather I couldn’t stomach it. Tough loss. I think anything short of winning the class two and making the semis if not the finals and we aren’t dancing

I know Muir won’t fire Haase but he should. Next years team is not going to be as talented without Davis, Da Silva, and Williams. Might as well get the next guy in here and give him an extra year with a young roster

Davis and Williams have missed a brobdingnagian chunk of this year.  But/for losing Davis,Wills and Williams for most the Pac-12 year, they’d be a tournament team.  They don’t have near the depth to handle those losses.
