I signed up for Rivals to satisfy my curiosity. My takeaway: it is largely incorrect to blame the coach in this case. I mean if you want to get very abstract and philosophical you could conclude Haase deserves some small fraction of the blame. But this is basically on some of the players. Some things are beyond the control of any coach. And sometimes good kids make bad decisions.
Despite the many challenges the team faced this season, Haase had the team performing well under the circumstances until the last few games. I see the first ~90% of the season as far more indicative of Haase and his coaching than the last 10%.
