Thanks Farm for the summary!  What an outstanding first half, and then we did enough in the second half.  The difference between this game and the last game against UCLA:

Loss against UCLA:  three point shooting: 2-10 (Williams 1-3)
Today against UCLA:  three point shooting: 10-21  (Williams 6-7)

It seems to me that every game in which we hit a few threes in the first quarter, it sets the tone and we coast to an easy win.  Every game when we struggle with our three point shooting, the game is either very competitive or we lose, as we did twice.  Those threes open up the floor for the motion and the cuts to work, and without them everything just slows down and clogs up.

Now, when did we start making our threes consistently?  About the time we returned home and the players had the opportunity to work on their shots.  And so it is no accident that the return home has fueled the best stretch of WBB at Stanford in years.

My theory is that we would have been this good all year long if the year were a normal one, but we did amazingly well under trying circumstances, and as circumstance improve so do we.

Never has another Stanford team deserved the championship as much as this one.  I am so pleased as a fan, but more pleased for them.

100% agree 81, especially the comment about being able to get shots up in Maples. That was a big help to our shooting. The players have also alluded to that.
