I seem to recall a push to return to draft eligibility after high school, as was the case when LaBron James was drafted.  Perhaps starting in 2022.  (I quickly Googled the topic and did not find any recent articles on the topic.)  Such a change would increase the chances that a player who comes to Stanford stays longer than one year, although as pointed out, if he rockets up the draft during his freshman year like Tyrell Terry, he'd still be a one-and-done.
