When Steve Kerr was out with a bad back in 2015 and Luke Walton coached the Warriors to a 19-0 start. NBA rules state that the head coach, not the interim coach gets credit to the wins, so Kerr got credit for those wins. But Walton won coach of the month for October and November, and the NBA considered changing the rules. So, while there is precedence for this in the NBA, I disagree with the rule. Hence my feeling that Geno should not get credit for winning two games he did not coach.
