I think the muted reaction without quite the expected joy for some of us fans might be due to a couple of things - the stress of that not very pretty game wore a lot of us out emotionally (I was so zonked out in my head watching the last seconds I didn't even realize we won right away) and maybe that we did not get to go to games at all so everything happened on TV, at a remove that we don't usually have. We never got to stand up and cheer the team, never really got to see them play because watching on TV is not the same. You don't get the full sense of the game, how physical it is, the struggle, on TV as much.
