Mills has the three UCLA picks. What impressed me was that he didn’t quit and kept flinging. I still think that the Niners gave away too much for a guy (Jones) that is quite like Mills.

I would be really, really surprised if they take Jones.  I think Jones is a product of the Alabama system.  I don't think he's a bad quarterback -- I think he's a very good quarterback -- but unless he's the second coming of Tom Brady, I just think he'll be there at #12.  

I hope the Niners take either Fields or Trey Lance.  I don't think a top NFL team can get away with a pure pocket passer any more, unless they're Drew Brees, Andrew Luck, Tom Brady or Joe Montana.

Agree.  And disagree. I hope they pick Lance.  But a “ pure pocket passer” is certainly capable of being successful.  As long as he can navigate the pocket.  It’s great to have the ability to make the secondary play.  But the first order of business is making the right decisions within the offense and delivering the pass on time and accurately.
