I have to admit if I were to have made up a list of 50 possible candidates, she would not have come to mind. I trust Hambly to make good hiring decisions. He needs someone he is comfortable around and a coach who believes in the same approach as his to the sport.
I remember watching National Team exhibition matches when she played. She would come out before the other players, do a routine of stretching and calisthenics. She seemed very self-motivated and an intense competitor.
This is the only question in the back of my mind. Stanford WVB needs stability in its coaching staff. Corlett was the gold standard for this. Will she stick around after a couple years or move on to a head coaching position?
