While I get the desire to pay collegiate athletes who are adults and making gazillions of dollars of money to their schools, these are high school students, and they should be getting a high school education first and foremost, and playing basketball second. Can't we let kids be kids at least until they graduate high school?
I know that this is a minority opinion, but we need to be getting money out of non-professional sporting leagues, not maximizing the value of these high school leagues and throwing the players a token salary to justify it.

You have an issue with the top high school programs forming a league where they play each other every year? Where's the problem in that? They already play a national schedule so what's the difference. Any kid who goes to IMG, Oak Hill, etc. for basketball is already a Top 100 recruit with a list of scholarship offers. They go there to test themselves against better comp, work on their bodies, and give themselves a better chance to make it to their ultimate goal: the NBA. I have no issue with the schools forming a league.
