I think it's the total of the non-counting score in each round, which for Arizona was 29 and ASU 22.

I heard that it's the total of all 5 scores for all 4 days which is pretty much the same as what you said, Oldalum.

Jamesy, if there had been a tie for 8th place, that would have been played off on the course. All 5 players from both teams play the same hole, compare total scores. Repeat until there is a winner.
