I haven't given up 100% on Haase at Stanford. But I'd be fine with regular trips to the NCAA tournament and the occasional Sweet Sixteen. Your standards may be higher.
So, may I ask: at what point WOULD you "give up"?

That is an excellent question! I would have given up this year had it not been for Covid--although I note the injuries, deaths in a player's family, etc.
However, I am optimistic that the 2021-22 basketball season will approach normal in terms of the external factors that derailed 2020-21. If that comes to pass, then I will give up on Haase if Stanford does not make the NCAA tournament this coming year.
If there's one thing people have learned in Berkeley, it's that you can't put "Cal football" and "Rose Bowl" in the same sentence. The words just don't fit. You'd be better off linking "covered wagons" with "Mars travel." (Bruce Jenkins, Cal '70, SF Chronicle, Nov. 11, 2017)
