Iirc, Oregon has an all turf field. Maybe some midweek games? Seems like maybe USF, but the geezer's memory no longer holds that much info so I can't recall that field, except that I remember houses really close behind the right field fence, which necessitated a high screen.

All turf fields are becoming quite common for Northern schools that play baseball. At my NAIA school, we have a turf infield and grass outfield, which is becoming common at our level. It's a bit surprising that a Texas team would have all turf. But Lubbock is not Houston, so it probably has a somewhat late start to the grass growing season.

Biggest difference with all turf is the speed on the infield. But today's players have experience with it.

Isn't Lubbock the home of the College Baseball Hall of Fame? Any Stanfordites in that Hall?
