Don't the Pac-12 Arizona schools schedule their games at night to avoid the heat?  Why not Texas Tech?

And, if any Stanford coach should be complaining about a game time, it should be Esquer, IMO. Playing in the middle of the day with temps to reach 105, is just plain reckless.  It's not just the players on the field, but the fans being asked to sit in the stands. It's literally dangerous.

I believe the decision was made by the NCAA rather than the Big 12 or TTU... I fully agree though, with as hot as it is supposed to be here in Lubbock this week it's crazy to schedule midafternoon games. Pretty much all TTU fans are heated about the game times as well (no pun intended). 

It'll definitely be dangerous for players, coaches, and fans. Our field is turf so I would guess if it hits 104 as projected, the field will be closer to 115-120. I feel like Rip Griffin Park/Dan Law Field runs hot anyways, so it will feel much warmer in the ballpark and it will be packed... Not to sound morbid, but I would guess there are several of fans that will end up getting a little medical attention from the on-site paramedics due to the heat. I've seen people need some help because of heat when it's mid-upper 80's in our ballpark.
