I accused him once of looking at things from a glass is half empty perspective. His reply? "The glass isn't half empty; it's totally empty".

Good memory on "he's not young; he's bad".  LW wasn't a half empty kind of guy.  He was worried that the glass was going to fall and shatter on the floor.  Our friend Genuine Realist (who sometimes posts on this board) selected his screen name as a reaction to LW's irrational pessimism.
