One good thing about having two consecutive years with a lightly-recruited QB is a very friendly depth chart for 2023 recruits. McKee either will be perceived as good enough to go to the NFL or not good enough to fend off all challengers. A five-star 2023 QB who enrolls early might be able to play as a true freshman.

Whoa there .. if Andrew was not given the green light to play, having Tavita as the starter, I don't see a true freshman starting in a Shaw offense.

Of course, now that a freshman can play X amount of games without losing a year of eligibility, there's a chance to insert a stud freshman QB in the last few games.
