Stanford is not anti-DT. Stanford has consistently recruited mobile quarterbacks, and most recently Patu who is definitely categorized as a dual threat. Ryan Burns was primarily a running QB until his senior year of high school.

Based on recruiting ratings Stanford has by far fared strongest in quarterbacks and offensive linemen.

I have no idea whether Daniels will be successful or not, but recruiting has evolved to where camp and combine performances outweigh high school statistics in importance, Maalik Murphy is a brobdingnagian recruit already being hailed as the future savior of Texas football. He has thrown for 9 TD and 6 interceptions heading into his senior year of high school this fall.
