Steering things back to the Olympics, here's an interesting Olympic story:
* Jessica Springsteen, Bruce's daughter, is on the Olympic equestrian team in show jumping. (Entirely deserved on her own merits, just to be clear. She's currently the 14th-ranked jumper in the world.)
* The Olympics run from July 21st to August 8th.
* Bruce's show on Broadway, which has otherwise been going almost every night, is off starting July 18th through August 17th, so it looks like he cleared his schedule for his daughter's Olympic experience.
We've been talking about the no-spectator rule for the Olympics, and if Bruce were going to watch every bit of his daughter's competition, presumably he could schedule around that and still do some shows--Jessica's jumping competitions wouldn't start until August 3. I wonder if Bruce has been planning on going to Tokyo for the whole experience, even despite the foreign spectator ban, because, well, he's the Boss. "Hey organizing committee, I'll come and play a solo show for all the athletes, whatever you want, just let me watch my daughter jump with her dang horse."
