I would be happy to talk about COVID-19 until the cows come home, and if you want to engage in a private discussion, you can DM me your email or other appropriate way of reaching me, but since I didn't set up the site, I don't set the rules.  The people who did the work and whose baby this site is don't want further discussion of COVID unless it is directly relevant to other permitted discussions; I am merely here to remind posters when they inadvertently stray from that, as you just did.

I view this similar to the host who asks that you take your shoes off before entering their house.  Don't be the jerk who refuses, just because you don't agree with their policy.
