I presume on some of the possible Olympians, we're waiting for the final roster submission.
For instance, I see the FIBA site only showing 12-person rosters for the women, but teams (specifically Nigeria) have been talking about 15-person rosters.  For the Nigerian women, if they're waiting for Nneka & Chiney to be fully healed, they may wait to the last minute to make their decision.

PS.  I see the Nigerian men beat the US in a basketball friendly game today in Las Vegas.  I haven't found a box score, but apparently the US selected 7 players for the exhibition games to replace 3 players still in the NBA finals.  "The Select Team was hit hard during training camp. By Friday, seven team members were out of practice. Naz Reid of the Minnesota Timberwolves was out after suffering a minor injury Thursday, sources said, and Tyler Herro of the Miami Heat sat out for undisclosed reasons. Five other players already were out after suffering injuries or due to COVID protocols."

Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum and Damian Lillard led the US, but Nigeria shot 20-42 from 3-point range.
