Lex is right, it was a pretty damned callous post in a thread about the death about a specific athlete, one that some posters on this board may have known personally.

I am sorry for your losses.  May their memories be a blessing.  I would hope that might make you more sensitive others' tragic losses.

And what does and does not constitute same?

I've clashed with OF plenty, but read his post as more silver lining than anything:  you can live a fulfilled life - even if truncated - if you lived life doing what you love. Not everyone gets to do that.     

But I guess that's not sensitive, either.
