I am a Catholic kid who grew up in the Sunset. A cop lived on most every block in the 40's and 50's. Knew scores of cops and sons of cops and many of them became cops. Now they live in Novato and Pacifica and Livermore. My buds knew where the line was and very few crossed it.

We need a helluva lot more black cops.
