My bet is that ultimately there will be two power conferences, one with the current SEC as its anchor and one with the current Big-X as its anchor, with Stanford naturally part of the latter.

so maybe two conferences, say the American and National, each with four divisions, maybe the North, South, East, and West, each division with four teams.  Playoffs with division winner and two wild card teams per conference.  Championship could be the "College Super Bowl"....

I am sure the NFL will take it upon themselves to look for ways to profit off of this, maybe they will trade the Raiders for Bama and the Lions for the Buckeyes for starters followed by the Bengals for the southbenders and the Texans for the Aggies............
