The answer was mixed in with another of my posts. Ivan Rodriguez is the career leader in putouts by a catcher.

Freehan was only on the HOF ballot one year and received only two votes. I suspect he may receive further consideration at some point by the Veterans Committee.
As has been documented numerous times over the years, the Hall is tough on catchers. Which raises the inevitable question in this part of the country - has Buster done enough to warrant HOF consideration or does he need another ring to solidify his candidacy?
