Looks like Flicks is carried on until about 2012

Definitely a sign of the times as students were switching to streaming whatever they wanted to see on their computers or other devices.  In 2012, Flicks was showing movies in Cubberley Aud. (capacity 390) and occasionally in CEMEX, a GSB auditorium (cap. 587).  Mem. Aud holds just over 1700 at full capacity and in the early and mid 80's I remember many Sunday night flicks that were completely full.  Such is life.  

My favorite movie theatre is the Castro Theatre in San Francisco.  Still has the live organ playing music before the show.  It only fills all 1400 seats during film festivals but it is really special to watch a great film with the energy of a full house.  I am anxiously waiting for it to re-open when it is safe.
