Walk-On Union Watch. Three non-scholarship players got PT against the Wildcats.
- LS Kyle Petrucci, sr. Played in his third career game. I am not sure if he was the kick snapper or if he and Bailey Parsons alternated with punt snapping. But I do remember that Petrucci began last season as the LS and then was injured in the second game; Parsons took over the spot. I know that Shaw does not like for players to lose their position to injury, so that might explain their sharing LS duties. And I assume both are up to it.
- DE Trey LaBounty, sr. Played in his fourth career game.
- ILB Jake Lynch, sr. Played on ST, I assume.
- WR Brycen Tremayne, a senior former walk-on, started and had a good game: five catches for 62 yards and a TD.
- OLB Thunder Justice Keck, a fifth-year former walk-on, did not play. Injured?
- P Ryan Sanborn, a junior former walk-on, punted six times for a 39.7-yard average, including two downed inside the opponent's 20-yard line, and one 51-yard blast. He also punted once into the endzone for a touchback.
- S Noah Williams, a fifth-year former walk-on, started and had three tackles.
- ILB Spencer Jorgensen, a junior former walk-on, played but did not record a statistic.
