Frosh Force. Seven true freshmen played against the Commodores, with four making their collegiate debut. None recorded any statistics unless noted.

• DE Aaron Armitage played in his second game in a row, and had three tackles.

• RB Brendon Barrow played on ST for the second game in a row.

• DE Anthony Franklin made his collegiate debut, recording a tackle. Welcome, Anthony!

• CB Evan Jackson made his collegiate debut, as well. A walk-on! Good on ya.

• S Mitch Leigber made his collegiate debut, recording a tackle. (Though SMF saw him get some reps against Trojans, so the official report may be off here.)

• CB Jaden Slocumb made his collegiate debut, too. (Though SMF also saw him against the Trojans.)

• CB Jimmy Wyrick was the starting nickleback and had four tackles, three(!) PBU, including an interception returned for six yards. He also had a QB hit. Kid's a player. Really impressive.
