Two golf trivia questions:

1. Which PGA professional won the most PGA tournaments without winning a major?  Doug Sanders was a great guess, he won 20 PGA events and finished runner-up in four majors, missing a three foot putt to win the 1970 British Open.

Answer is Harry Cooper, 30 PGA wins, Like Sanders was runner up in four majors, two Masters and two U.S. Opens.  Cooper was born in England, father was a pro golfer (apprenticed under Old Tom Morris), they emigrated to USA when Cooper was very young.  Ironically, this prevented him from playing on the Ryder Cup and he never participated in the British Open.

2. Five Six women have participated in men's PGA tournaments.  Who were the five?  And which was the only one to make a cut?

Brittney Lincicome played in the 2018 Barbasol championship and shot 71-78.

Babe Didrikson Zaharias made three cuts in 1945 Los Angeles Open, Phoenix Open (33rd) and Tucson Open (42nd).

Shirley Spork, who helped found the LPGA tour, finished 105th in the 1952 NorCal/Reno Open (it didn't have a cut).

Annika Sorenstam played at the 2003 BofA Open, was +5.  She turned down future PGA invitations, didn't like the spectacle.

Michelle Wie shot a 68 at the 2004 Sony open as a 14 year old, best score for a woman in a men's PGA event and missing the cut by a stroke. She played in 8 men's PGA events overall.

Suzy Whaley was a club pro who won the 2002 Connecticut PGA open (which allowed her to play in the 2003 Greater Hartford Open), but played from the women's tees as the men played from the tips.  She played from the tips in the GHO, shooting 75-78.
