I don't expect there to be any slowdown from moving the vaccination check to the entry gates.

The main backup comes from the bag check/metal detectors, and a second backup from the ticket scanners. There is ample time to check vaccination status while waiting in those lines.

Hope you are correct, but IMHO it will be a significant added delay. The ticket scanners don't add much delay at all. Almost none unless there is somebody with an "issue". If there is a way that they can control access to the COVID-19screeening area, they can possibly match the speed of the metal detectors. To do that, they will need as many COVID points as they have metal detector points. I don't think there is room to do that. We shall see.
