Agree 100%. When the Stanford band has enough members, they sound like a rock 'n roll band - I haven't been to a game at Maples for a few years, but my guess is the band still may have enough members to rock the house. And, they've always played with soul...vs traditional marching bands that indeed sound more like elevator music. Look at it this way: compare the Stanford band's version of All Right Now to the USC's band's version.
