Good one.  My favorite FG miss was Cal's Robbie Keen in 1988, who was 23 of 23 on PATs and 17 of 19 FGs going into the Big Game, and made 4 FGs during the game (matched by Stanford's John Hopkins, who also had 4 FGs).  With just four seconds left, the score was 19-19 and Cal was on Stanford's 3 yard line, attempting an 18 yard FG.  75,662 fans in the stands.  Tuan Van Le races in to block the field goal attempt.  Happened right in front of me, I had to buy tickets in the middle of a bunch of Cal fans.

Cal finished 5-5-1 overall, Stanford, behind frosh QB Jason Palumbis, finished 3-6-2.  It was Jack Elway's last game, if memory serves.
