Same here.
I look at Tennessee which has an outstanding RPI ranking of # 6 this week.
Compare that with their much lower AVCA ranking of #21 last week.
And their much lower Volleytalk ranking (which I respect a lot) of #19 last week and this week.
And looking at Tennessee's body of work so far vs Top 25 teams:
W (3-2) vs Baylor
L (2-3) vs Pittsburgh
L (0-3) at Purdue
And that's it ?!?!
Then I look at Stanford with current RPI ranking of #16 this week.
And has a comparable AVCA ranking of #18 last week and most likely #15 or #16 this week.
And has a slightly higher Volleytalk (which I respect a lot) ranking of #13 this week.
And looking at Stanford's body of work so far vs. Top 25 teams:
W (3-1) vs Florida
L (0-3) at Texas
L (1-3) vs Minnesota (neutral site)
W (3-2) vs Penn State (neutral site)
W (3-1) vs Nebraska
L (2-3) at Kentucky
L (2-3) vs UCLA
L (2-3) at Oregon
W (3-1) vs. Utah
Hmmmm....
I don't get it....
And they are going to primarily use this for NCAA tournament seedings?
Yikes!
