I'm a little more optimistic than that. And RPI isn't everything. Even at 17 or 18, Stanford could well host the first two rounds. The committee has been kind to Stanford in the past.
Beyond that, I don't expect to see them in the final four this year.
RPI Futures this week predict that Stanford will lose 5 of their remaining 12 PAC 12 matches, to finish PAC 12 with a 13-7 record and 18-10 overall.
Sure, this is possible, especially if this team suddenly becomes discombobulated by a season-ending injury to one of their key players. Otherwise, I say they lose two more matches, maybe three at the maximum.....
