Lee was never known for his fast-moving offenses either. he was often accused of unfathomable delays in issuing orders and then sending such complicated orders that were too difficult to fulfill leading to execution issues. a bit thin-skinned too.
even as the losingest general in the Civil War, Lee still has a small vigilant cohort that will defend his actions to the bitter end.
His orders relied on having talented subordinates like Jackson who could execute them in the correct manner. Which reinforces the belief around here we need better OCs/DCs!
