On Stanford's set point at 25-24 Baird got a set in a position with no possibility of getting a kill.  The only option was to keep the ball in play.  Instead she pounds the ball into the middle of the net.  Fortunately Stanford won anyway.  Baird has been playing for close to a decade.  You just can't make mistakes like that at critical moments and expect to get back to the mountain top.

On a positive note:  Oglivie has been incredible at times at covering the hitter against the block.

Without Baird we’d be dead and gone long ago.

You have a grasp on the obvious.  The conundrum is Stanford can not get to a final four with Baird's mistakes in passing and other phases of the the game.
