Of course the idea of serving tough is to get the other team out of system, thereby giving their setter fewer choices and tending to make the sets worse, and thereby lowering their hitting percentage. Getting an occasional ace is gravy, not the main goal.

So let's not just serve lollipops to avoid service errors.
