Or we lost both sets on long negative runs in the middle of each. The service errors may have been the last nails, but those coffins were sealed long before.
In other words, I don’t think all set point service errors are created equal. If you are serving and down 23-24, I entirely agree that you don’t want a service error. But if you’re down 20-24 (or worse), a lollipop doesn’t do any good (especially given our current state of defense.
Missing the serve when the opponent has set point is one of the Seven Sins of Serving. It is generally considered the most egregious of serving errors in any circumstance.

??? Beaven presumably has been playing because she hasn’t been injured, unlike pretty much every other reasonable option. Not sure there’s any “failure” to figure anything out on Hambly’s part, unless I’m misunderstanding the post.
Yes you are missing the point as usual. Explain to me why Hambly was using only two players for serve receive in some rotations rather than playing Beaven.
It seems your only motivation for posting on WVB threads are veiled attempts to insult me. Why don't you bring something of value to these threads you jacka$$.
Wow…
I enjoy Stanford sports, but not where The CardBoard has apparently gone.
Bye.
