With a 5-2-1 model we’re asking the PNW schools to play each LA school once every four years (as opposed to their current rate of twice every four years.)
I think it will be a hard sell.
It’d be better if we could do away with the two divisions and use the three natural geographic groupings (which some might call pods) for scheduling in a 3+5 model. And then just take the top two schools from the standings table if we still want to play a CCG.
