Outsider.  We fans have had to provide proof of vaccinated since the first of September for all sports.  Indoors must wear masks

My point is, this should be enough. There is no reason to limit attendance with those measures in place. None. I mean the fact is Omicron isn't even as destructive for un-vax'd as Delta or other earlier Covid-19 versions. It just isn't. Stanford is effectively telling people to stay away because they might catch a cold. 

Before Covid, plenty of people caught colds at Stanford events, yet they went on with impunity, without Stanford even thinking to limit attendance. If the Omicron Covid version presents as not much more than a cold for most people, and you've got vax and mask mandates, it seems Stanford is way overreacting to something that isn't the threat previous Covid surges were. If you want the public to take the real serious threats seriously, don't use your best NPIs when they aren't really needed. Even Dr. Cody seems to get this. Why not Stanford?
