cardcrimson, way back in the 1980s the Stanford Bookstore sold a t-shirt that read "Harvard: The Stanford of the East." So by that (il)logic, you could call Harvard a Pac-12 school or Stanford an Ivy League school.

I was on campus in those days and remember the shirt. Surprised they're not still around.
