Lexi must indeed have used up her shooter's luck against Oregon but she will get it back again. It is nice to have a team which has any number of players who can step up in any given game. Friday was Lexie's turn, today was Jump's.
What I really liked was 5 turnovers for the whole game. One of our best outings in that regard. And don't look now but our free throw shooting has been improving--9/12 today. 12 assists on 25 made baskets--not that great, but it reflects Gonzaga's strong defense and maybe a few lessons about forced passes against Oregon.
Re Lexi, the other team gets a vote. After watching her Friday performance,
Gonzaga was likely keying on her defensively.
