Shocked it was Katie Meyer. I watched the PK competition that gave Stanford the 2019 W Soccer championship and noted the attention she got from her "trash talking" bravado - that we don't see much from women - across media after.
Ben Parker is the publisher of Stanford Rivals. He is a Cal grad and previously was a hoops reporter for the Cal Rivals. The Cal and Stanford Rivals sites both lost their publishers at the same time. Ben chose to take over Stanford's site because he lives in the South Bay and already had some Stanford ties through his LDS involvement there. He was never one of those Cal fans with unhinged scorn for Stanford.
Sorry for the misinformation. I stopped subscribing to Rivals before all that went down. I only knew of Ben because he used to post his Cal content on Stanford's board. Always very friendly. Good life lesson to be kind, even to a rival, because it's nice to have bridges. I am not sure why I assumed that Ben was pulling double duty.
