We can’t get into someone else’s head. I have seen no mention of any kind of note from Meyer. My poor understanding of suicide is that while there may be a precipitating event, it’s also very common for people to struggle for quite some time with ideas of self-harm, often telling no one. It’s also important to realize that if there was some very specific event in Meyer’s life causing her pain, there could have been some overwhelming anguish already there. Depression is a killer.
I don't disagree with you; but the article and parental comments noted that the administrative inquiry had been going on for months, only recently culminating in a decision to proceed with formal disciplinary proceeding.
