That's kind of brilliant. Shaw gets to stay on campus, is an excellent representative of the University, and we can avoid an uncomfortable coaching displacement. I think the only flaw is Shaw would be presumably taking a huuuuuuuuuge paycut.
He'll take a much bigger pay cut when he is no longer a Head Coach. But seriously, if Shaw can't fire assistant coaches, how the hell is he gonna fire head coaches?
