Even with Wilson and the Hulls leaving after this season, Brink will still have major offensive contributors (all four juniors: Jones, Belibi, Prechtel, Jump) ready to go. Brink's defensive performance could keep her in the national conversation as an individual player even if her offensive numbers are team-oriented. Maybe in her senior year she'll seize the spotlight a la Griner.
I’m not sure Brink will have the same spotlight as Griner since she will be sharing the post her senior year with then sophomore Lauren Betts. But I’m not sure this team cares as much about individual accolades. The great thing about winning last year is that it validated the team first mentality that Stanford has always had. Look at how happy our “star” players are when Emma-Nnopu hits a big three to seal a win late in the game.
