That’s fair, but the quote I was responding to was “I looked quickly through the stats of those transfers, and they all seemed to be productive but not star level.”
“Productive but not star level” against inferior competition would maybe project to what in the PAC-12?
Don’t get me wrong, if they can contribute, especially at a position of need, then great. But I’m kind of thinking of our transfer QB here, who fit the bill of “productive but not star level” against inferior competition at Air Force, and wound up being a feel good story who mostly served as a backup and came in to run a few plays. Or even the women’s basketball transfer, who came from a major conference school (Northwestern, as I recall), but has played sparingly.
