UA pulled away very late but UNLV made a great showing.  Lindy has coached them well.  I think she is already a better head coach than a couple P-12 coaches.  UO was a puzzle today.  Sabally scored a lot but losing to Belmont?  Belmont has nowhere close to the height or the overall talent of UO.  Great win by Belmont but wow, the conference is looking really weak.  Hope it is not a bad sign for us.  Did the conference really prep our team well for the tourney?  Kansas will not be a pushover...

Just what I was thinking.  The Pac 12, other than ourselves, is looking quite weak.  Which of course makes me wonder how good we really are.  I think Kansas will be an excellent barometer.  But Kansas--Maryland--Texas will be three very difficult games just to make the final four.  Renews my awe of what we pulled off last year, and inflames the nervous nellies in me for this year.

I'm not surprised at all with the PAC 12 results in the NCAA 1st Round (losses by Oregon, Colorado and WSU to lower seeds, close win by Arizona and impressive wins by both Stanford and Utah)   Stanford is just a cut above the rest of the PAC 12, as they finished 16-0 during PAC 12 play while the 5 next best teams have 6 or 7 losses vs other PAC 12 teams.  Then during the PAC 12 tournament, Utah showed why it's the 2nd best PAC 12 team, but clearly much more inferior compared to Stanford.  

At this point, Stanford's defense is just overwhelming everybody primarily because their starting 5 (BRINK, the HULL sisters, WILSON and JONES) are all great defenders, while their offense is very versatile as their starting 5 can all shoot from beyond the arc while their first 2 players off the bench are the PAC12's best inside (BELIBI, who leads the PAC12 in FG%) and outside (JUMP, who leads the PAC 12 in 3pts made/game) shooters, which bodes well when they play against Kansas in the NCAA 2nd Round, then the winner of Maryland-Utah in the NCAA Round of 16.
