I'm not holding my breath either, but the supremes basically took away any ability NCAA has to put the genie back in the bottle, so only legislation can really help.

College sports might be a low stakes enough thing that something bipartisan can happen. Might take the cratering of women's sports to disabuse some folks of the notion that college football and basketball players are some disadvantaged class deserving of scholarships, fame, and a bunch of scummy NIL money too.
