A California High School QB signed NIL contract for $8 Million for 4 years.  His name is Nico Lameleava, he will be attending Tennessee.  What happens if a college player with a NIL contract decides he/she is worth more $$$ and tells the marketing agency if their contract is not adjusted they will not play in the up coming league championship game, or the next SEC body bag game?   If the marketing agency says no, the player response is "Transfer Portal here I come"..........so who out bids who?   Add in the sports gambling folks and the Mafia what more big time college sports ask for?

This has already happened to a degree. Florida State starting CB sat out Spring Practice looking for a better NIL deal.

This is one step away from the situation Maple Leaf imagines. Imagine Bryce Young telling Nick Saban he's transferring to LSU unless he gets a better NIL deal this Summer. There is nothing to keep this from happening. Literally every college athlete is a free agent now.
