There is a lot of pettiness in MLB. After covering 27 World Series including most of them for the production arm of MLB I have seen that pettiness extend all the way up the chain. The most blatant practitioner was the long time chief of PR who did his best to make it hard to do your job. He and the two gals actually running each league (leagues offices have been done away with) for the titular presidents were enthralled with the "stars" among the writers and network execs. They made it hard at times for the production company that quite literally was producing content aimed at luring kids into fandom.
The pettiness has extended for decades into the realm of "Showing up the opponent." I agree with OF but the Giants are going to get the same treatment when the time comes. I expect Kapler knows it. Good for him.
